Snow AGAIN!!! (more pics)

It is snowing again in Georgia! They have called for 1-3 inches with the snow ending around 5pm tonight. There is probably about an inch already on the ground and it's just 12:30.

This morning we took Grace to get her two year old pictures taken and then to run a few errands. We are now at home sitting by the fire. Hopefully when Grace gets up from her nap we will be able to talk daddy into playing outside in the wet snow.

We had fun in the snow when Grace woke up from her nap. Snowballs were thrown at people and dogs, snowballs were eaten, snowmen were made and walks were taken. Much Fun! Chad doesn't like being cold and wet so he dressed appropriately.


The dog loved the snow. She ran around like crazy and ate snow balls. She thought the snowman was going to be a special treat for her.



Grace LOVED being outside in the snow! I hope we have snow in Georgia again in years to come.

What did we do on a long, cold weekend at home? Watch movies on our new TV!!! These are just a few of the movies we saw.

Snow in Georgia

It snowed in Georgia yesterday evening. I watched on TV at all the cities around us with snow but none at our house. I knew it had to be coming, so like a kid, Grace and I sat by the back door with jackets on and camera in hand. It finally came! I was so excited when I first saw the smallest snowflake that we ran outside and started taking pictures. Within thirty minutes we had large flakes coming down, covering the ground. Grace and I played in it off and on for those thirty minutes then went back outside when daddy drove up for work and played for a few more minutes. Daddy showed Grace how to write in the snow and to throw snow balls. He actually got Grace right in the month. I wish I had a picture of it. She didn't cry but she didn't think it was funny either!

Now is when it is really starting to come down. Grace just kept pointing at the snowflakes.

This is what the house looked like this morning, Thursday morning, after the rain in the middle of the night. It is still a little white with ice on the trees. Grace keeps looking out the back window says, "COOL"!

My little girl...

In less then two weeks my little girl turns two! She continues to make us laugh and show off her little personality.

Some kids like licking the batter from cakes or cookies. Mine likes the spoon from mac and cheese!

We continue to put finishing touches on Grace's room. This weekend the curtains went up.

Funny story from the weekend: We went out to eat with some good friends on Friday night to eat Mexican. When we were done Chad took Grace with him to the counter to pay for dinner. They ran into some people they knew so it was taking them a little longer. When I finally looked up to find them, Grace was standing by Chad with brown stuff all over her face and shirt. I ask Chad from across the restaurant what is all over Grace. He looks down and say, "Chocolate". Now of course he says it like what's the problem. But when they get back to the table Chad says, "Grace stole the chocolate! I guess when I was paying, she took the candy and ate it. I had NO IDEA!" So Grace had her first offense of shop lifting this weekend:).

Grace was so excited tonight to get her hands on Danica. She turned into a little mommy instantly. As soon as she got her hands on her she wanted her paci to give her, then she saw a bottle was fixed and HAD to feed her. She was very proud of herself as Danica took the bottle. But after a few minutes she wanted to take Danica by the head and carry her around. That didn't work for any of us so it was my turn to hold the baby. Grace cried so hard, she will definitely be a good little helper when Olivia comes. That will be a good thing right???

Danica is HOME!!!

We are so excited for our friends Aundrea and LeaRoy with the arrival home of Danica. It has been a long road and took people pulling a couple strings but Aundrea was able to bring home their newborn baby from Utah last night. The flight arrived at 10:44pm, many friends and family were waiting to meet the sweet little girl!

Grace hasn't seen LeaRoy or Aundrea since before Christmas (she is used to seeing them three to four times a week) so she was very attached to both of them last night.

I think people thought it was going to be fight with me trying to hold Danica. But I was a big girl and waited my turn. But I wasn't' leaving till I got my hands on her.

58 days to go...

Only 58 more days to our little Olivia is here. Yesterday was another doctors appointment with ultrasound. But the appointment also included Chad and Grace. At first Grace was not excited about going back with mommy into a room, she thought she was going to have to see the doctor. But with candy in daddy's pocket and then realizing it was mommy on the table she was fine. She was very cute during the ultrasound, she kept saying "belly" "baby" over and over again, trying to make that connection. Then after the appointment we went next door the the hospital to see the newborn babies. She LOVED it!!! She kept saying, "Yeah baby!". I can't wait to see what she is like when Olivia gets here.

Pregnant Cravings!!! While I was pregnant with Grace and during this pregnancy I have craved spicy food. Mexican and Hooters are my favorite two places. How many men can say their wives ask/beg to go to Hooters?

Soccer Weekend

This weekend was packed with soccer!!! Friday night daddy had an indoor adult game. On Saturday daddy had two outdoor adult tournament games and one indoor U12 boys game. On Sunday after church daddy had two more outdoor adult tournament games. That's a total of six soccer games in one weekend. Grace was awesome the whole weekend. She missed naps both days and was still great. She loved being outside and playing with the big kids.

Bowling

On "Handy Manny", a Disney show, the characters went bowling Thursday morning. Grace saw it and went nuts. Jumping up and down, yelling "bowl", spinning in circles.... I called Chad at work and told him that we needed to take this little girl bowling again. SO we decided to go last night. Grace was so excited. We payed for Grace to play this time. She had her own turn and this time had her own shoes. The shoes were a big hit, my girl is in LOVE with shoes, she is just like her daddy.


We started off rolling the ball down the aisle, we then went to her pushing the ball down the ramp all my herself.

YES...she is hugging the ball, in fact she is also patting it on the back. She did this several times during the night.
Am I the only one that also thinks bowling shoes that size are just too cute!

And yes Grace beat me in both games. But remember I am pregnant and she had a ramp and bumpers!
