Santa

We found out on Monday night that Gracie is not to fond of men in red suits with white beards. The only pictures I got of Grace is with her screaming her head off. Luckily the nice elf behind the camera got a cute one of Grace looking up at Santa and Santa looking down at her. You can't see the tears, red eyes and snot all over her face.

And you ladies at church want to know if she ever cries.

Ten Months Old

We are now in the double digits! Her daddy is loving this age and the personality that comes with it. She is becoming such a little ham. Grace knows when all eyes are on her and how to please a crowd. She is starting to take a few steps on her own every once in a while, but the best form of transport is still crawling. She can fly across the room now. As soon as you turn your back she is gone. She is trying to communicate more with us. She can say DaDa, hey, duck and dog. She is signing "more" and "finished". Grace is now waving bye bye at the appropriate times and finishes with blowing a kiss. Still not saying mama, hopefully one day soon.

One LONG weekend!

O Christmas Tree

We put up our Christmas Tree on Sunday afternoon. It has always been a tradition to put it up the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I can't wait to see all the traditions we will have with a child in our life now.

Grace and Hudson

Since Grace and Hudson don't get to see each other very often we took several pictures of them together.

Happy Thanksgiving

The Maddox family had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for this year with Grace in our lives.

We spent several days at Maw Maw and Figgy Paw's house. Aunt Carrie, Uncle Eric and Hudson were there as well. On Thanksgiving day Figgy Paw's sister and husband also came up. It was the first time Grace had met Uncle John.

Nine Month Day

Today was election day so mommy did not have to keep any extra kiddos. So this morning Mommy and Maw Maw took Gracie to get her nine month pictures. She did so well and looked like such a doll. This afternoon Mommy and Daddy took Gracie to her nine month old check up at the doctor. She is now weighing in at 18lbs 14oz and 28in long. She was such a big girl only crying for a minute during her flu shot and not crying at all when they pricked her toe.

After such a long day, Gracie falls alseep on daddy's lap.

One filled week

Not only did we have our first halloween this week but Gracie also got her first big girl car seat, got her first big lip, and got into trouble!

Gracie pulled a plant off the fireplace and looked at us like she didn't do anything. When we told her "No No" she just laughed at us. I have to admit, it was pretty cute.

Gracie got a fat lip after trying to pull up on a small table only using one hand. The other hand was busy holding halloween candy. This is the morning after, luckly the swelling has already gone down a lot.

Halloween Pictures

Grace experinced her first halloween last night. She was such a cutie in her custom and didn't seem to mind wearing it. Her daddy got off early from work (for the last day of the month) and so that we could take her around the town to show off to some of our friends. She ended up with a whole bunch of candy. We even let her have a few licks of a sucker at the end of the night!
