15 Month Olivia

Olivia turned 15 months yesterday!  She is into everything!  She loves playing in cabinets, loves baby dolls and loves anything that Grace is playing with.  She is a climber...climbing on the fireplace, on steps, in/out of the bathtub and is almost able to get on the sofa.  She speaks a lot of gibberish but now only says "real" words if it is in the right content.  She loves animals and points out every dog she sees.   Olivia loves being outdoors and escapes whenever she gets a chance.  She still loves music and now tries to sing her own little songs as she dances.  She is thrilled when her daddy walks through the doors but is a HUGE mama's girl!  She will push Grace off my lap in a heartbeat!  She is walking really well and wishes she could run to keep up with the big kids.  She is following one and two steps commands.  She is so proud of herself when she takes her dirty diapers and throws them away.  She formed another ear infection two weeks ago and I am hoping with the summer here we can stay away from these infections!

The Girls Room

So I follow Kelly Korner's blog and decided to participate with it today.  Every Friday they blog a different room in their house.  I have included both of the girls room.

This is Grace's room right after we allowed her to move into it (1 1/2 years ago).  The finishing touches were not all there.  In fact we are still working on all them.  I love the colors pink and blue together and found the bedding at Pottery Barn Kids.  My talented husband designed and made the striped wall happen.  My favorite part is the butterfly mobile hanging in the corner...also from Pottery Barn Kids.

This is the nursery and hands down my favorite room in the house.  Chad also designed and remodeled this room...including taking a door out, adding the wood and painting.  The bedding and colors haven't gotten old even after two kids!  The top picture was taken from a photographer at church in our room.  The bottom picture isn't the best picture, it was taken before Grace was born, but I didn't want to go take another picture to download.

Happy Birthday Hudson!

We were able to celebrate my nephew's third birthday this past weekend.  Hudson is such a sweet and handsome little man.  He is very intelligent and loves being around others.  He loves cars!  He LOVES cars!  The sweetest little thing was listening to him sing the blessing before all the meals.  Thank you for allowing us to celebrate your birthday with you!

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day was spent at Maw Maw and Paw Paw's at Lake Oconee.  Going there is a little peace of Heaven.  The girls love all they can do and LOVE the company!  We had a great time with the grandparents and The Shick's!

How did I end up with a blond and burnett?
It took all we had to keep them out of the pool with their clothes on.  Although Olivia did a nose dive and Hudson had to change out of wet clothes!
Olivia wanted water wings just like the big kids!

I think it is just too cute that Carrie and mine first born look alike and so do the second borns!

YEAH!  They are all looking!
These two have the best toddler relationship! :)

The school year comes to an end...

As Grace's first year of school came to an end this week I thought I would catch up my blog friends (and my journal) with everything that we have been up to.

Tuesday was Grace's end of year party and Thursday was her last day of school.  I don't think she really gets the words "schools finished".  I do believe she will be sad and will miss her friends and teachers.  She had a great year and I am so happy that I decided to send her.  She is already signed up for a week of camp this summer and three day three year old class next year.

Pizza was served at the party.  Olivia was so cute sitting at the table with the big kids.
She was so proud of herself.
Grace was excited about her treat bucket her got...water guns, beachballs, stickers, balls, candy, etc.

The week before school was out Grace's class went on a class field trip to Brusters.  So fun!  I was extra thankful that Maw Maw kept Olivia so I could go and just spend time with Grace.

Two weeks ago Grace's soccer class ended.  Grace did well in Kickeroos...although she did better at the beginning when in was just about individual skills.  Playing with and aganist peers was not her thing.  She is now asking to do ballet next year.  Hmmmm!  We will have to see about that...how much money is dance???
Grace is in the middle of the back row.  The two coaches are C. Steven and C. Steve.

Her first medal!

Since Olivia started walking she has been into playing on her own more.  She loves copying and playing along side of Grace.  I went to check where she was the other day and found her in Grace's room playing with the dollhouse all on her own.

Look closely...she is making the baby go potty!  Maybe she will be easier to potty train then Grace.

Chad's soccer season is coming to an end!  Just in time since Olivia is into walking around instead of sitting in the stroller.  Olivia and Grace both love playing with all the other kids at the soccer games.  Below they are with Austin.

Happy Mother's Day

I am honored, privileged and blessed to be allowed to be the mother of these two wonderful little girls.  To want to be a mother since you were young and to spend several years trying to get pregnant makes me appreciate this holiday.  Being a mom is the hardest and most awarding job I have EVER had.  I thank God daily for sharing Grace and Olivia with me.

My girls and my wonderful husband made today a very special day.  Below is numerous pictures from today's trip to the park...after our trip to a soccer game, lunch, shopping trip and ice cream.

I am in love with these pictures of Grace in her daddy's hat!

Olivia is in love with wearing necklaces like these.

My sweet girls!!!

After 10 1/2 years of marriage, I still love this man!

The girls loved playing on the playground and I love watching them smile.

Grace was SO proud of the gift she made me at school.  It brought tears to my eyes to see the excitement of giving in her heart.
