Just in time for Halloween

This spider has found a new home right outside our front door. It has been there for about a week now. It took me a good two days of running as fast as I could by it to realize that it is not going to jump off it's web and get me.

After a little research on the web I found out it is a black and yellow garden spider and is harmless to humans. It is now pretty neat to watch her habits.

Cinderella Weekend

This past weekend I was part of an amazing retreat with seven girls from our church youth group. We took them on a Cinderella weekend. Every girl wants to feel like Cinderella. It was such a great weekend watching God move through these girls, for them to get just a piece of how much their heavenly Father loves them. And seeing genuine smiles on there faces was just priceless.

Olivia's new best friend...

On Sunday morning she broke out in a full body rash. I was a little overwhelmed with the fact that she keeps getting sick. I took her to the doctor to find out that it is an allergic reaction to her antibiotic. She is now not allowed to have any Penicillin's. The pictures below do not do justice...she looked like a swollen strawberry. After three doses of Benadryl she is looking a lot better. With everything going on she is still a baby little girl!

The red game

For some reason Grace is have a hard time picking up on her colors. It just hasn't clicked for her yet. So today we played the red game (I thought of the name all by myself:)). We put a blanket outside and then went around the house and found all the red items we could. I put Grace in a red shirt and she matched the color to her shirt. Red is the color she is learning at school right now. Grace had a blast!

Olivia Update

***Another update...Olivia ended up with a rash on Wednesday night and during the day on Thursday. I called the doctor and we decided together that she must of also had Roseola. Bless her heart could anything else go on with her little body right now? I think we are diffidently on the upswing!

Olivia is doing SO much better. Thank you to all who have asked about her. Her fever broke almost exactly 24 hours after she started the antibiotics. Her bite is looking a little better and her you can tell she is starting to feel herself again. Now we will have to relearn to sleep at night again...she is killing her mother.

My poor baby

Poor Olivia ended up with a fever and a bump on her leg that turned into a blister . I took her to the doctor this morning to find out the bump was must likely a spider bite that got infected. She also had a few sores in her mouth. They drained her blister and put her on antibiotics. My poor baby!
This is after they drained the blister. It is already looking better.

A new trick

Olivia learned to play peek a boo today. (and now wants to play all the time) SO CUTE! I can't believe she is big enough to play.

"Where's Olivia?" "There she is!!!"
We are starting to grow out of our baby seats...she wants to sit up in the bouncey, stop the swing by holding onto the sidebars, and buck herself out of the bumbo.

What have we been up to?

We are B-U-S-Y!!!
During the week I am still watching Aidan who is two years old. I keep him every day and Grace is just in love with him. Grace goes to school twice a week from 9:30 to 1:30. Chad has soccer practice two nights a week with there games on the weekend. Chad plays soccer on Friday nights. We have church on Sunday mornings where I volunteer at the children's sign in table every week and Chad volunteers in the AV booth once a month. Chad and I are currently taking a Dave Ramsey course for 13 weeks at church on Sunday afternoons. We both volunteer with the youth group every Sunday night. And I will start leading a mom's bible study on Tuesday mornings. In our extra time we have been taking walks, working in the yard, sewing (I posted some stuff I made recently) and hanging out with friends and family.

Six month pictures

Today I took Olivia to get her six months pictures at Southern Exposure. I started to have a panic moment this weekend when I realized I didn't have anything for her to wear. So off I went for my "emergency" purchase. Below is Olivia in her $9.99 Gap dress. Go Me! Olivia did great during the pictures, I can't wait to see how they turned out.

Six month check up

(Yes...I took a picture at the doctors office today. This is before the shots.
Her favorite part of the doctors office is playing with the paper on the table.)
Today I took Olivia for her six month check up. She did awesome and is right on track at 16 lbs 2 oz and 26 3/4 inches long. That puts her in the 85th percentile for height and 60th for weight. I always like to compare it to Grace's stats at that age. Gracie was 16 lbs 6 ozs and 26 1/4 inches, so basically they are about the same. Olivia had several shots and took them like a big girl only crying for a second. I cried longer then she did...lol, I hate watching my girls get hurt. Our goal for this month is to work on sleeping through the night (I'm going to have to let her cry it out) and babbling (she likes to hear herself squeal).

First Day of School

The first day of school finally arrived for Grace. I am not sure if she really knew what was going on but her daddy and I talked about school all weekend. She was a little hesitant when we got in front of her classroom door way but within a few seconds she ventured in. The teacher showed her where her bookback and lunchbox goes then Grace found puzzles at the table. She sat down to play, her daddy and I gave her kisses and then we were out the door with NO tears. The teachers said she did great when I picked her up. They said she was very confident in the room (is that a good thing or a bad thing?). The first and only thing Grace told me was that she had cake. I saw a cookie cake in the corner of the room so I assume she did. Day two will be on Thursday!

She loves her daddy.
I really wish I knew what was running through her head sometimes...

This is how we left her, happy as can be. i picked her up a happy girl too.

Busy Weekend

Olivia sure does think we had a busy weekend....

We had 5th Quarter at youth on Friday night. Soccer Tournament in Gainsville Saturday and Sunday morning. Youth Sunday night. And a quick lake trip on Monday.
Look how much Tyler has changed in just three short weeks!
Me and my buddy, Hudson.
